Provide mental health support to South Asian women. Sapna NYC’s mental health counselor provides one-on-one sessions in English, Bengali, or Hindi/Urdu. Mexican Coalition works to empower Latinx youth and families, many of them immigrants and essential workers. They offer nutritional counseling, assistance applying for NYC Care, and are part of the National Diabetes Prevention Program. Through their "Amiga Confidente" program, they have partnered with universities in Mexico and Central American to offer counseling for people experiencing difficult emotional situations. Mexican Coalition also has a specific group, called "Miradas y Sentires" for women migrants and can help community members connect to other healthcare resources they need. In addition, Mexican Coalition offers legal support in the following areas: citizenship applications, family petition, work permit renewal, and translation of legal documents. They can also provide information on your righs and connect you with other needed legal resources.
