I came to NCB for all my prenatal appointments and labor and delivery. It was honestly such a pleasant experience, midwife Malone and Kennedy were so amazing throughout my entire pregnancy. Always answered all my questions and concerns! I had an induction and it didn’t last more than 12 hours ! It was fast, I’m grateful for midwife Denise Wharton she was so amazing. I couldn’t ask for a better person to deliver my baby, she truly loves her job ! She’s very sweet, patient, she goes over everything she’s going to do and she’s also very knowledgeable! I was definitely scared but Denise made everything so much more easier ❤️ postpartum was alright, the only complaint I have is that I wish they would’ve helped me a little bit more with breastfeeding. But other then that I have no complaints

This is my second time at the hospital and I have not been seen my a provider yet. When appointments are made that is the doctor time hence why offices say come 15 minutes before because that time is for vitals. The women’s health department needs to seriously learn how to communicate !! I came to do a procedure yet I’m told it’s for blood work???? That’s not what I was told, why am I taking time off of work for nonsense? I’m never coming to north central ever again. I could be dying and I’d rather die than to be a patient at this hospital.

I had all my prenatal visits at NCBH. Denise Wharton was my midwife. She was very caring, friendly, knowledgeable and made me very comfortable with each appointment. She treated me like a family. You can tell she loves her job. I also had an amazing team during my delivery and I just can't thank them enough. Midwife (Alissia Falconer) was an absolute gem. She was loving, caring, attentive and an excellent midwife. She went above and beyond to ensure my baby and I were safe. She watched the monitors and kept running to my room to check up on me. She constantly reassured me when I became worried about my baby and communicated with me throughout. She wasted no time to call the doctor when anything was concerning. Nurse (Shamile Foote) was truly what nursing stands for. I cannot forget her warm smiles and willingness to do anything to ensure my comfort. She was also very proactive. Prepared the room and got everything in order for the delivery. She also cleaned me up nicely there after. Medical student (Diane) was a huge help during the most painful/difficult time. She was very soft spoken, respectful and with a great personality. Constantly checked on me and offered water and fan to help me. She offered her shoulder to cry and hands to squeeze when the pain was unbearable. She held my hands and motivated me throughout the whole process. She will be an amazing doctor in the future. She had a human touch which is rare these days. Doctor Margaret Seybolt was also great. Very experienced and did what needed to be done and quickly to deliver my baby safely. Nurse anesthetist (Chang) did a great job with the epidural. Talked me through it and calmed me. Thank you all and God richly bless you.

As a medical professional I must say this is the worst hospital.. We were visiting the Bronx and I notice my dad not looking well, took him to ER and his Bp was way high 175/ 149. They had him wait sometime until they finally saw him. His hemoglobin was at 19 so they kept him, visiting hours are only 10 am to 12 pm and then again 430 to 630 pm. 4 hours a day total. Thanksgiving day you would think they would be more Lenient with the hours but no they were not. They have 1st year Residents watching the patients and then when you ask to speak with the attending MD, they can not located them. They hire contract nurses that appear not to have knowledge of the patients when you ask information, 1 Rn per 9 patients. On weekend main entrance I’s closed and you have to enter through emergency room. Elder individuals visiting loved ones have to walk a distance, I asked to transfer my dad to a westchester hospital the nurse on duty said oh well so transfer to a better hospital , the lack of compassion these clinicians show is horrible, my dad had to wait 2 hours attached to a dry Intravenous line Until I asked for them to remove it. The nurse who removed it did not even flush it afterwards, Nurses walk around with the mask on there chin but Yells at people if they do I have it on if you ask me that is a contradiction. I can assure you there’s plenty of videos and photos that will be presented. Now I understand why do they do not want videos or cameras in the unit they have a lot to hide. Go to montefiore or Albert Einstein hospital instead, my dad has Mobility issues and it is hard for him to eat. They refused to provide assistance and when I asked if I could stay late they denied it, other hospital do not have These ridiculous hours, Please note it is reported they are affiliated with Jacobi hospitalBut they do not follow Jacoby hospital hours or compassion, This hospital needs to be shut down if anyone else has had this problem please contact the state / city Medicare / Medicaid. So it can be investigated, it It’s horrifying that patient’s care is not met appropriately. Today is the 27 of November and the date in my dads room says November 23 and none of those individuals are working today .

Today was my first time coming to this NYC health+ hospitals location in the bronx. I had an appointment in the women’s health department/ gynecology and the staff was very friendly , caring and helpful. The nurse that took my vitals and the nurse practitioner were excellent at their job. Thank you for the excellent care I have received.
