The Lyft Jobs Access program aims to close the short-term transportation needs for job seekers.

Eligibility: Riding to or from a week long job training course, or riding to or from a one-time job interview, or riding to or from the first two weeks of new job.

Through our LyftUp program, we’re providing access to 1.5 million rides to help people reach food, essential jobs, and services such as polling places and vaccine appointments.

Provides half price metrocards to lower income New York residents, regardless of immigration status.

Eligibility: Must be between ages of 18 and 64 and meet maximum income requirements; proof of income can be verified by a signed statement attesting to your income for the previous 30 days, or paystubs from the past 30 days.

Dollar vans have catered to communities underserved by the city’s subway and bus system, offering commuters in neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens an affordable way to travel. The app is meant to make transportation accessible to “anyone anywhere,” especially those in transit deserts, places where the nearest public transportation option is at least a 15-minute walk away.

MTA New York City Transit’s paratransit service, Access-A-Ride, provides door-to-door transportation within New York City on an advance reservation basis to persons who, because of a physical or mental disability, are unable to use public transit buses or subways.

Eligibility: You are eligible for Access-A-Ride if you have a disability that prevents you from using the public buses or subways. We will review your application, any medical documentation you provide, and ask you to undergo an individualized assessment.
