They are snitches of the landlords that fund the courts with their own judges. Our lawyer Kevin refused to take our strategy saying that it will be a waste of time. I fought the case myself and won- the court even asked the landlord to pay us extra. City government must investigate their practices. They’re cheating poor people. I saw my lawyer meeting with my opponent before our meeting as I can early. They will share your attorney client privileged info with your opponents.

overall they provide a plethora of assistance for different case types and can refer you to outside assistance as well. I personally have no complaints.

I had to help a senior citizen that is being evicted and the Bronx housing court appointed someone from the Bronx public defender's office. They apparently only give advice over the phone and wish the old man luck with the eviction hearing. It's a shame what has been going on with mentally, physically disabled seniors in the Bronx housing court system. This only proves how horrible the Democratic run cities are in seeking justice for old people who can't afford an attorney. They all want to work from home and get a paycheck without doing they're actual job.
