Nearly impossible to get appointments (I waited 4 months for a medical intake and was told to wait 5 months for psychiatry. These are life-threatening wait times). Most of the staff (front desk, nurses) are unpleasant, uninformed and unprofessional. Nurse was downright rude to me--perfunctory responses even when I expressed confusion. The doctor herself is quite nice but the whole setup of the clinic is awful. But this is the place to come if you can't afford a doctor so 🤷 Poor and queer people can't expect good treatment I guess

In person care is pretty good for the most part even tho they have you waiting forever to see your doc during your appointments. But has been the most caring and consent forward docs I’ve ever encountered. However… seems impossible to get medication refilled which is extremely problematic and causes gaps in treatment. I am currently on two weeks with no birth control which manages my endometriosis that I and my pharmacy have been calling EVERY DAY for. I have been going to Callen Lorde for about 4 years now but I’m changing providers because this is really unacceptable.

I’ve been attending Callen-Lorde since 2019 and since I’ve been a patient of theirs the Brooklyn location has been the best. While there all my questions are answered and my provider seems to even make other suggestions to improve my quality of life. The waiting can sometimes be annoying but outside of that I highly recommend this location especially if you live in Brooklyn.

Providers are gender affirming and trans competent but it's a nightmare to get a timely appointment or a prescription filled/refilled here. Have to call/message multiple times every single time. Have gone weeks without my prescription before, which is unacceptable. Impossible to reach anyone for help. Thoughtful care when you're physically in the office but otherwise extremely frustrating. Would not recommend.

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Completely disorganized staff, crazy wait times, and lack of communication. Stop playing when it comes to peoples medications, these are vital to our existence and they make it seem like we're bothering them for just wanting to live. Stay far away from this place if you don't want to add additional stress onto your life.
