La Colmena is a community-based organization working with day laborers, domestic workers, and other low-wage immigrant workers in Staten Island through organizing, education, culture, and equitable economic development. La Colmena stands for improving the quality of life of Staten Island immigrant workers and their families by providing access to resources, education, job safety, leadership development and celebration of their cultures so they can advocate for themselves and their families.

August 7 2022 they had a celebration for carnaval mixteco in snug harbor, it was very nice lots of people dancing, food, hand crafted artisanal work. Such a good time.
