Worker's Justice Project's mission is to empower low-wage immigrant workers to gain a voice in the workplace and build strong and economically sustainable communities through education, organizing, leadership development, and the growth of grassroots economic alternatives. Workers Justice Project runs two worker centers in Brooklyn. One is located at Bay Parkway Community Job Center in Bensonhurst, which connects small businesses and homeowners with skilled day laborers for a variety of services, ensuring fair wages and good working conditions. The other one is located in Williamsburg, which connects homeowners with domestic workers for various types of cleaning, also ensuring fair wages and good working conditions.

I have used Project Justice for several projects in my home Freddie laid laminate flooring in my bathroom and kitchen and we are extremely happy with the outcome. He was on time, knowledgable and a nice guy too. Eddie has been someone that we have requested many times as well for painting, compound and cabinetry work. He has done a really good job and has a great personality as well. We joke that he is part of the family now with as much work as he has done in our home. Here are a few pictures showing the work from Eddie and Freddie. I highly recommend using Project Justice.

Good project of people trying to help the community. They offer different trainings and services for everyone.

I have been using this service even before the trailer they occupied at Ceasers Bay(1994). The service has been great until now. Last week they sent me a painter for 170/day. The painter was supposed to arrive at 10am but showed up at 11:15am. I told him I would pay him 200 if he worked well, He finished at 330pm and expected to be paid. Yesterday I had another painter for 170/day. After an hour of painting, he called the center to say that I had given him too much work. I offered to pay him 220 and the job was finished at 130pm?? There is no oversight because the center lacks the knowledge required to do the job. When I place an add on craigslist for a worker, I get responses from the same folks from your center, but without the attitudes and nonsense. A real shame because this service does have value

A lack of staff and people to receive the complaints and worries from the workers who get in to find help

Hired two workers to help move out. They were punctual, friendly and efficient. Had a great experience with WJP and I support the movement! Thank you for your work!!
