An investigation about this establishment is now ongoing and will be addressed. Faculty, room/board, dining services, etc. From the time I arrived 3 women have been told that their beds were spurn because of a mistake by staff. The constant commotion of the staff after hours were abundant and repulsive. No one appear to be doing their job correctly. And for that alone, an investigation must be commenced immediately. Honorable mention: the incompetence of the staff that is in control of the reviews. Once the examination and inspection is completed, the direct staff who is in charge of the reviews will be personally held accountable. Thank you.

I gave it a two because it's my first day here and I don't know how I feel about it right now. The I take was pretty fast, and the staff was very kind to me... But I do have an issue with the heavy police presence that is here.... It's a women's shelter not Prisoners cell block D... Good grief I'm glad I work and don't have to be here until 10:30 at night .. hopefully my stay here is a quick one. And they took my deodorant! What the hell is wrong with these people?! I'm already homeless now I have to stink too.

3 stars because my experience was not that bad in terms of waiting. The intake was not long. My process of intake and placement (in this shelter for the night) was about 2 hours. With this being a shelter, I will say that the staff is horrible. During my intake, the staff was on the phone taking calls repeatedly TELLING THE PERSON SHE WAS doing an intake. When I had questions about my placement based on the county I live in (via 311) I was told to asked the supervisor. When I came in to the desk and said "excuse me, the RA told me to ask you about my placement" she did not take her eyes off of the computer or answer me, followed by the awkward silence she nodded her head and said "okay well what is it?" I'm not one to nit pick on responses but the sheer carelessness, eye rolling, heavy sighs, in a shelter. It's not the exact environment to have an attitude in. Leaving and coming back is a hardship on its own. I had to leave and get some items out of my car, upon coming back in I was repeatedly told by one security guard to walk to the metal detector, then the officer was telling me to back up, which is fine but can we get one solid direction instead of saying a and b? Look, I understand it's a shelter for those in need, it is not the super 8 or motel 6, but the communication and treatment from the staff is disgusting. If people aren't being rude to you, they should get that same courtesy. At the same time, the team is as strong as the chain of command. This population needs people who care and are kind. It's a horrible environment for someone dealing with homelessness. Pros: I got a bed. Cons: mistreatment from staff and management is too common.

This place is absolutely horrible. The city should be ashamed for having such horrible shelters. This locations is every Try not the reviews on here say. A good chunk of the staff here are rude or just there to collect a check. You ABSOLUTELY have to stay on type of things yourself or you will be left wondering. Most stuff here you find out by word of mouth instead of the staff outright telling you. The residents here are horrible. Things from severe mental health, junkies, and chaotic ppl. It’s real easy to get in trouble at this location even if you are NOT doing anything at all. People here like to keep things going and pull people into things they aren’t aware of. You may meet a few good people here. I met a good friend. But for the most part stay to yourself other than the good ppl you may come across. At times the place will be in need of serious cleaning. If you don’t have to come to the shelter don’t. If you have to come here it’s not a bad thing…. It’s just the craziness and having to be on your extreme tip toes for your safety being here.

Williams women shelter was better than Franklin shelter. Franklin shelter is horrible. If you're not born brown or dark skin you shouldn't be coming here. But than again thanks to racist Asians, Middle Easterns, Indians from India and Hispanics you're around African Americans when you don't even look it- smh.
